Last Day of Instruction before Finals:
Presentations of Rough Draft:
Arianna: A young nurse who has taken over the care of her
younger brother when their parents were suddenly killed in a car crash. Central
Issue: She feels she has failed him because she couldn’t give him everything
their parents could.
Helper: Kimberly, best friend/hair stylist who is fixing her
hair.
Final Presentation:
Elizabeth D: Giving a eulogy for her mother whom she never
properly appreciated.
Elizabeth’s character took after her father who was selfish
and abusive to her mother. Now, she sees that she was wrong, terribly wrong to
treat her mother the way she did and she deeply regrets it.
Presentation of Rough Draft:
Chynna: Killed her returning soldier husband who brought
back another woman and their child from the war. Felt that as the other woman’s child grew and prospered, her
own children failed to thrive – all three of her children have died. She prayed
to God to be able to love the child but could not.
Presentation of Bio/Biographical Details/ Rough Draft:
Jazzmyn: 19 years old. Lives in a horrible neighborhood –
mother, father, stepdad on crack. Mom running the streets. Police have raided
their apartment building. She is trapped inside her apartment while the police
are doing door to door raids. She is talking to a friend trying to convince him
to go with her to L.A. to pursue a better life.
